Isn’t this sculpture incredible! It’s a massive aerial, sculpture made of rope and created by famed Janet Echelman and it’s suspended over the Rose Kennedy Greenway here in Boston. You can read more about the sculpture here.
This photos doesn’t do it justice. You really need to see it in person to appreciate the scale and just how high up in the sky it is. The way it changes from day to night and the movement are incredible. I read an article the other day about how the connections keeping it up in the air are tightened through a window in one of those tall building….everything about this is so cool!
I love that the city is investing in cool, unique, memorable art installations. This is definitely the talk of the town this summer, so check it out.
